Do major video game companies care about internet flash games?

My friends play a lot of very popular flash games such as God's playing field, Thing Thing arena 3, Sonic FGX, Fancy Pants Adventures 2, Endless Zombie Rampage, and MUGEN. I was just wondering if major video game companies (such as Sega, Atari, Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony) know if these games even exist. If they do know they exist, do they even care to notice them?|||Based on the ungodly amounts of money that companies like Zynga are raking in (MafiaWars, Farmville), they are beginning to take more notice. They are looking at all types of flash games and trying to see how they can apply that logic to their existing games/IPs.

I have read articles and reviews of recent gaming conferences that talk about social gaming and what it means for traditional games. (Can't find the articles to link, though. Sorry).|||are you stupid dude? flash games have much more popularity than normal ones because they can be played at the office where you work, at school during breaks.
